Here are our top 10 great things for kids to do while spending time at Gordon Country, all in a safe and family friendly environment:
Roasting marshmallows. This is not only the kid’s favourite pastime, but us too!
Playing guitar and singing around the campfire. You don’t need to be a professional to pack your guitar.
Board games and card games. Are you going to keep score?
Orienteering. Find a map and set a course! This is a great set of skills for children to develop and has real world application and learning benefits.
Camp oven cooking and fire building. Under adult supervision, build a fire, organise your coals and have a go eat your first damper!
Yabbying. Catching and cooking yabbies is a fantastic camping activity.
Bike riding. Get the kids enjoying some physical activities and sight seeing with their pushbikes.
Spotlighting. Get out the flashlights and play hid and seek in the dark!
Swimming, football and a game of cricket. Physical activity in a friendly semi-competitive setting can be wonderfully liberating for children.
